TRAVEL AND PARKING INFO FOR THE 3RIDES GRAN FONDO SÜDLICHE WEINSTRASSE
So you can be at the start line in Schweigen-Rechtenbach on time and without any stress, we’ve put together the key travel information for you here. Since the first races as part of the Großer Preis der Südlichen Weinstraße start as early as 10:30 AM, good planning is worth its weight in gold! Please arrive early and carpool if possible.

IN SCHWEIGEN-RECHTENBACH / SOUTHERN WINE ROUTE
TIMING: ARRIVING EARLY PAYS OFF
The first road closures take effect shortly after 10:00 AM. We therefore strongly recommend arriving as early as possible.
- From 10:00 AM: Due to the closures, you’ll need to take a wide detour.
- Until 10:00 AM: Access to Schweigen-Rechtenbach is possible without restrictions.
ROUTE IF ARRIVING AFTER 10:00 AM
If you won’t arrive until after 10:00 AM, please use the route via France to bypass the closed areas:
- On the French side via Scheibenhardt to Wissembourg.
- Via the A65 (exit Kandel or Wörth, depending on your direction of travel).
- Continue towards Lauterbourg (FR).

PARKING
In Schweigen-Rechtenbach itself, parking is paid on event day and, based on experience, fills up quickly. We therefore recommend using the free large parking lots in nearby Wissembourg (France) instead. They’re ideally located for warming up directly on the bike.

Tip: The 2 to 2.5 km from the parking lots in Wissembourg to the start/finish area in Schweigen-Rechtenbach are perfect for spinning the legs out.
